Digital Incubation Center: Significant Achievements in Supporting Startups and Enhancing Digital Innovation
- The 10th edition of the Idea Camp received 369 applications, with 160 startups selected to participate.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology through its Digital Incubation Center initiative, announced a series of significant achievements during the third quarter of 2024. These achievements reaffirm the Ministry's commitment to supporting entrepreneurs, enhancing the digital innovation ecosystem, and fostering the growth of the digital startups in Qatar.
In this context, Ms. Eman Ahmad Al-Kuwari, Director of Digital Innovation Department at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, stated: "These achievements reflect our ongoing efforts to support startups and turn ideas into real projects. Beyond providing resources and financial support, we focus on delivering guidance, mentorship, and building strong investment networks, contributing to the goals of the Digital Agenda 2030 and fostering an innovative, knowledge-based economy."

Organizing the Tenth Edition of the Idea Camp
The tenth edition of the "Idea Camp" program saw significant interest, with the incubator receiving 369 innovative applications. Through a rigorous evaluation process, 160 promising startups will be selected to participate in the intensive six-week training program. The incubator is now preparing to support these startups on their journey to turn their ideas into successful business ventures, reaffirming its commitment to driving innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
The program provides entrepreneurs, developers, and designers with tailored training, mentorship, and opportunities to build strategic networks. Participants will develop their business ideas, discover growth strategies, and connect with a dynamic entrepreneurial community dedicated to innovation and success.
Successful Conclusion of the Startup Investment Readiness Program (SIRP) and the Angel Investors Bootcamp (AIB)
The Digital Incubation Center successfully concluded two major programs aimed at supporting both entrepreneurs and investors. The "Startup Investment Readiness Program (SIRP)" was held on September 5-6, 2024, where 41 entrepreneurs received training on how to prepare for dealing with investors, improve their business pitches, and enhance their business strategies.
The incubator also hosted the "Angel Investors Training Program (AIB)" from September 8-11, 2024, where 29 potential angel investors were trained out of 123 applications received. The training focused on how to evaluate and invest in startups, providing participants with the knowledge and skills needed to be effective contributors to Qatar's growing startup ecosystem.
Both programs concluded with a "Demo Day" on September 12, 2024, where seven startups presented their ideas to the angel investors. These efforts are part of the incubator's strategy to enhance the entrepreneurial environment in Qatar, in line with national digital policies aimed at supporting innovation and developing advanced technology companies that meet local and global market needs.
Discussions on Business Models: Insights for Developing Strong Business Models
The Digital Incubation Center hosted a discussion session titled "Developing Strong Business Models" on August 19, 2024. The event featured prominent industry experts, including Ms. Alaa AlBashir, Mr. Indica Amarsinghe, and Dr. Allan Villegas, who shared their extensive knowledge and experiences with 24 startups.
The session provided participants with valuable insights into strategic planning, agile startup methodologies, and innovative ways to build sustainable business models. This interactive event offered fruitful networking opportunities, where entrepreneurs asked questions and shared their experiences, fostering an environment of collaboration and learning.

The Digital Incubation Center organized a session from the (Speaker Series) titled "Harnessing the Power of AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Tech Tools for Startups," featuring Reza Essop, a leading expert in AI and emerging technologies, on 11 August 2024. The session attracted 33 entrepreneurs eager to learn how to leverage AI and emerging technologies to drive their business growth.
Reza shared his extensive experience in developing large-scale metaverse platforms and leading pioneering AI solutions, providing attendees with valuable insights on integrating AI, automation, and deep tech tools into their startups. This event reinforces the Digital Incubation Center's commitment to providing entrepreneurs with access to global expertise and the latest technological advancements.
Innovation Showcase at Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology “SWITCH 2024”
The Digital Incubation Center (DIC) under MCIT was a major highlight of the exhibition, as 10 selected DIC startups showcased their innovative solutions and gained exclusive access to multiple networking activities with investors, fellow startups, and ecosystem stakeholders. The event provided a unique opportunity to enrich their growth journey with industry insights and expertise. Those startups were chosen based on their interest in and readiness to identify local, regional and global expansion opportunities. The startups exhibiting included innovative Healthtech, EdTech, AgriTech, logistics and e-sports companies, as well as several innovative digital platforms.

The Digital Incubation Center (DIC) has announced a strategic partnership with Startup Grind Qatar Chapter. Through this partnership, DIC and Startup Grind Qatar Chapter will collaborate to host a series of events, workshops, and mentorship programs designed to empower startups and entrepreneurs in Qatar.
Innovation Showcase at ConteQ Advanced Technology for Construction and Services Expo 2024
The Digital Incubation Center (DIC) participated in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's pavilion at the ConteQ Advanced Technology for Construction and Services Expo 2024, held from September 16-18 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC). The expo focused on showcasing the latest innovations in construction technology, bringing together prominent industry leaders and key innovators in the construction and services sectors.
The participation highlighted the contributions of 13 startups from the Digital Incubation Center participated in the expo, presenting their innovative solutions to a distinguished audience of industry experts, potential investors, and partners.
