The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in partnership with Cisco, held a masterclass titled “Driving Digital Business Transformation” on February 29, 2024, as part of Web Summit Qatar 2024. The masterclass was presented by Mr Mohammad Al Hashimi, CTO and Engineering Manager for Cisco Qatar, and Mr James Harvey, EMEM CTO and Transformation Director of Cisco.

The masterclass focused on advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, digital transformation trends, and the role of AI in reshaping industries and driving innovation in business. Practical applications and case studies of successful digital transformations were also identified.

The discussion also revolved around the urgent need for digitization to compete in the current business climate, and the importance of digital transformation for companies in order to find new ways to connect and collaborate, simplify future business growth strategies, develop products, improve profitability, and enhance digital revenue channels.
