The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), through Studio 5 and in collaboration with the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ), concluded the 2024 Summer Art and Technology Camp. The camp welcomed 66 participants aged 7 to 24, offering a variety of activities, including hands-on workshops. The camp provided young participants with the opportunity to explore the intersection of art and technology, gain new skills, and bring their ideas to life through innovative projects.

The goal of the summer camp was to create a learning environment that enabled participants to master essential technological skills. Through the workshops, participants were able to design video games, create digital artworks using the latest technologies, and even develop wearable tech. They acquired new digital skills and transformed their ideas into real-world projects, creating digital art using simple programming and exploring bioengineering to produce dyes, seamlessly blending art and technology.

Nouf Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, Program Manager of Studio 5, said: "We are pleased to collaborate with the National Museum of Qatar to provide opportunities for young creatives to engage with advanced technologies. This collaboration allows us to offer valuable hands-on experiences that enhance their creativity and technological skills." She added, "The camp environment encouraged participants to push the boundaries of their imagination, empowering them to become leaders in the ever-evolving digital world."

Participants described the camp as an exciting experience that stimulated their creativity and deepened their understanding of technology. One participant said, "The camp gave me the skills and confidence to turn my creative ideas into reality. We had the chance to undertake projects from our imagination and creativity." Another participant added, "It was fascinating to see how technology can be used creatively and to share these experiences with a group of like-minded, passionate individuals."
